Job Title: Site Agent

Location: Verulam

We are seeking a suitable and qualified candidate for the role of a Site Agent in the construction Industry

Key Responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description

Overseeing & managing all activities on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards & timeframes.

Managing site discipline in accordance with the project construction framework.

Preparing the Site establishment plan.

Monitoring the expenditure as well as managing resources efficiently and ensuring the project stays within financial limits.

Preparing & maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries & variation orders.

Assessing the progress of the work on site to ensure it is being performed within regulations and to contract specifications.

Maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants & providing regular updates on the construction progress & addressing any concerns.

Scheduling tasks, allocating resources, and ensuring the project progresses as planned.

Conducting daily site inspections and monitoring of the site activities according to the proposed construction working programme.

Supervising staff on site, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

Maintaining site safety protocols and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

Controlling industrial relations on site and liaising with the labour department on problem areas.

Conducting plant procurement and plant maintenance on site.

Performing  a dynamic penetrometer test (DCP Test) to measure in-situ soil’s strength.

Inventory Management and Control of construction materials.

Taking Levels with the dumpy level on regular intervals.

Ensuring construction quality assurance on all quality aspects during the project life cycle.


Qualifications:

A minimum qualification - National Diploma, Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Technology (BTech), or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering


Experience:

Roads & Asphalt Expertise: Proven experience in road construction methodologies, materials, base priming, tack coat application, and the construction of bituminous surfacing is crucial.

Project Management Experience: Experience in site supervision and construction management of major roads and civil structures is required.

Contractual Knowledge:Familiarity with managing contracts, including adherence to specifications, time, and budget expectations, and ensuring contract profitability

Finance Specialist

Job Title: Finance Specialist

Location: Verulam

Employment Type: Full-Time

The Finance Specialist will report to the Finance Director. The Finance Specialist will assist in any or all of the facets of Finance including but not limited to: Payroll, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Budgeting and Forecasting, Expense Management, Cash Management, Tax, Internal Audits, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting. .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration payroll and Workman's comp

  • Generate A/R invoices ensuring contractual compliance.

  • Generate Purchase orders for internal approval & tracking of large expenses.

  • Manage and accept all incoming payments from customers.

  • Receive and verify incoming bills, log into accounting system ensuring proper job costing accounting, and ensure timely payment.

  • Manage employee reimbursements, review,  verify, document.

  • Manage credit card entries,breconciliations, and proper job costing.

  • Assist Director with cash flow entries.

  • Assist Director with Budgeting and Forecasting.

  • Manage Finance audits

  • Generate Payables reports and other reports as requested.

  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and skills

  • Accounting Degree or background, with  minimum 5 to 10 years experience preferred.

  • Experience with Pastel and SAGE Payroll

  • Strong MSOffice skills: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication  skills with management and staff and customer relations.

  • Exercise excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills and possess a high level of organizational ability.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Possess troubleshooting, problem solving, and creative/innovative thought processing skills.

  • Understand office procedures.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to document and implement processes and procedures.
